Beautiful winter sunrise over the harbour in the Swedish archipelago 🤍🌞

This video is taken just outside my childhood home on the island Styrsö, just outside of Gothenburg on the Swedish west coast and it’s one of my favourite spots to watch the sunrise/ sunset 🌅

🎄 Getting into the festive spirit 🎄

When I was a kid, going to the amusement park @lisebergab in Gothenburg was one of the highlights each year, so I was so excited to take my daughter for the first time this winter.

During the holiday season, the park becomes a winter wonderland with Christmas markets, ice skating, and millions of lights. ✨❄️

Enjoy a cup of mulled wine, go on one of the rides, have a go at ice skating and visit Father Christmas and his elves in his workshop. (And the iconic Liseberg bunnies that walk around in the park and are always offering up hugs!) 🐰

Sometimes you have to improvise 😅

We always arrive at the airport early to get as much play time as possible before the flight, so when the play area was closed as we flew to Sweden this week, we had to find another way to entertain our daughter!

Luckily the airport staff were very kind and let us play with some wheelchairs that weren’t being used 🦽

If you’re a fan of the classic Christmas movie the Holiday, then what better way to get into the festive spirit than by visiting the village where the movie was filmed?

This quintessentially English village is located right outside Guildford, only 1 hour from London.

Being one of my favourite Nordic traditions, I was so excited to take my husband and daughter to their first Lucia procession 💛

If you are not familiar with Lucia Day, it honours Saint Lucia, a Christian martyr known for her generosity. The procession is led by Lucia, dressed in white with a red sash and a crown of candles, symbolising light in winter’s darkness.

The procession sings traditional Lucia and Christmas songs, and afterwards, people get together for saffron buns (lussekatter), ginger bread biscuits and mulled wine ☕️

On Sunday, my little girl turns 2. It is both exciting and terrifying - it feels like time is slipping away, and at the same time I love watching her grow and learn.

I’m so grateful for all the special moments I get to share with her. She might not remember this time, but I will carry these memories with me forever. ❤️

We went on a beautiful autumn walk in the woods this morning, watching the sun melt the frost away, all the trees gorgeously yellow and orange 🍂🧡

Definitely not swim-friendly for toddlers, but Malva loved the short hike there and running around in the grass next to the waterfall!
